Jeonju Jim-Jil-Bang

I wanted to compare the Jim-Jil-Bang (Bath House) in my hood with the one I went to in Seoul, so I ventured to Spa L Aqua a few weekends ago.  The one in my area is not as large as the Dragon Hill Spa in Seoul, but it was still very nice and relaxing.  They have most of the same options, but just on a smaller scale.  I soaked in the indoor hot baths, sweated in the cedar sauna and enjoyed the outdoor dipping area.  The best feature was the stand up jacuzzi, where you can stand in a deep pool of water and have jacuzzi jets massage your body from head to toe – – VERY NICE!!!!  The outdoor pool area, which was made of small round stones was also fantastic and reminded me of a small pond.  I visited the bath house twice this month and stayed for just an hour each time.  This gave me plenty of time to unwind and rejuvinate.  I’m sure I will go back at some point before I leave Jeonju to get a massage and enjoy the spa again.

If you are interested in some spa time, ask a taxi driver to drop you at Spa – L – Aqua (SpaLAqua) in Jhu-Wha-San-Dong.  It’s located behind the Mayday Gym – near the Tom and Tom’s Coffee Shop.  The cost is $9.00 to get in.  Massages and other services cost more.

ENJOY!!!!! 😉

  1. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who was conducting a little homework on this.

And he in fact ordered me breakfast because I discovered it
for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!
! But yeah, thanks for spending some time to discuss this matter
    here on your blog.

    • Hey!! I’m glad you found my blog helpful, and I’m glad you were able to get a free meal just by sharing some information. That’s great!! Take Care — Eve 😉

      • Dear evedlewis
I read your story regarding Jim-Jil-Bang . That’s quite interesting and sounds fine. I also like to try it. Would you please give me the detailed address in Jeonju? I’m living there. I also want to know if they provide seduce massage or not.

      • Hello! As far as I know, they do NOT offer sexual massages at this location. Sorry — I do not know the specific address. You can take a taxi there and then get a business card for future reference.

  2. thanks for your great sharing post!

would like to know is this spa still under operation?

    • yes, went Sept. 22 and paid KRW 6,000 (without toiletries). We loved it. Thank you so much eveinkorea for this post!

      • Awesome!! Glad you loved it there. 😉

    • Yes!!! As far as I know SpaLAqua is still open. 😉
